Life is a test. It is only a test. If we weren’t created by the Almighty, then every individual would have decided the kind of lifestyle they want, without any law and order of where to go and what to do. Every human on this planet has been bestowed upon, a purpose that is under the master plan and divine wisdom.
It is also a fact that is clearly stated in the holy book of the muslims:
(“Allazee khalaqal mawta waalhayata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu Aamalan wahuwa Al Azeezu Al-Ghafooru”
This is carefully translated to mean: “He who created Death and life, that He may test which of you is best in Deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving”).(.Quran 67:2)
When we look at life, we can all come to agree that, life does come with many challenges, difficulties, and other adversities that may seem to end one’s life. But when we begin to face this kind of menaces, we should only reason them from a totally different perspective; let’s view them as an opportunity to help us grow. Whether we are being bombarded with problems, responsibilities, even insurmountable hurdles, we should physically, mentally and spiritually accept life as a test, so that we can put our effort as a chance to succeed, in a sense of rising above those challenges.
As time strolls by, our ultimate focus would be to chase success and happiness, and the only way we can do that is when we sit to reflect and accept life as a test from the Divine Decree.
As an experiment, let’s see if we could apply these ideas to something we are probably forced to deal with on a daily basis; Perhaps, WE have a difficult teenager, or a demanding boss. See if we can refine the issue we face from being a problem to being a test, rather than struggling with our issue, see if this is something we can learn from. Let’s just learn to reflect and ask ourselves. ” why is this an issue in my life? what would it mean? And what would be involved to rise above it? Could I see it as a test of some kind to pass, and overcome the fears of failure?
If we give this strategy a try, we may be surprised at our change in response. For example, I used to struggle to a great deal over the issue of my perception of not having enough time. I blamed my schedule, my family, and circumstances, and anything else I could think of in my plight. Then it dawned on me as time goes on that if I wanted to be happy, my goal and focus necessarily have to be organized, prepared, and do the best I could to get everything I felt I must get done… In other words, my real challenge was to see my struggle as a test, and I needed the focus to past my test.
Seeing life struggles as tests ultimately helps me to cope with one of my biggest personal frustration. I still struggle now and then about my perceived lack of time, but at least, I have improved, and greatly feel a little bit organized, and deem prepared with my daily habit . And It has become far more acceptable to me to accept things as they are, rather than always nagging myself.
The following is my little daily prayer to nurture my spirituality:
MY CREATOR, WHETHER OR NOT MY LIFE STRUGGLES TURN AROUND, I KNOW YOU ARE STILL MY CREATOR, AND I AM IN THIS WORLD TO SERVE A PURPOSE, SO PLEASE HELP ME OVERCOME MY LIFE TEST. I WANT TO THANK YOU MY CREATOR, BECAUSE I KNOW I NEED YOU IN SO MANY WAYS THAT I CAN’T EVEN IMAGINE, BUT PLEASE ALWAYS GUIDE, PROTECT AND FORGIVE MY SHORTCOMINGS. ” AMEEN.
