Everyone wants more time, but not everybody knows how valuable time is until death reaches them. Time is given to all human being, but only few understand how to manage it judiciously in order to live a productive life.

Time is a gift of God to humanity, to keep us ( HUMAN BEING ) in check and balance of reality. People are born into time, live in limbo, and end up ‘biting the dust’ before they can even pray get more time.

Some people steal, commit sins, sell their bodies and souls for more time; that is even the curious part of reality. I often wonder if such people ever understand the purpose of Time Travel.

God would not prescribe for us ( human beings) something which we would not be able to do, because HE promises never to burden any soul with more than it can bear. It might seem as though finding the balance between worship and worldly pleasure is impossible, but we know in our heart of hearts that it is possible, if we are willing to use our precious TIME on this planet wisely.

Time has a great meaning than just counting days and nights, weeks and months, and the movement and rotation of the solar system and the lunar calendar respectively for our celebrations. Time Travel comes with divine purpose, so is our journey of life. So do not take time for granted, because it waits for no man .

Take your time to reasonably enjoy your share of your hard earned money. Spend your days wisely, and take advantage of moments to see loved ones, to care and share love, and respect with compassion. And no matter what happens, do not be afraid of time unless you are not preparing for it. It is a matter of fact that, at any given moment, there is always something to do, something to love, and something to look forward to. And every single thing has to do with time and energy.

Make Services an Integral Part of Your Life

To be become a kinder, more loving individual requires action. Yet ironically, there is nothing specific you have to do; no prescription to follow, rather, most genuine acts of  kindness and generosity seem natural. They seem from a type of thinking where services and giving have integrated into the person’s  thought process.

  • Several teachers and philosophers that I have learnt from have suggested that I begin my day by asking myself this question, ‘How can I be of service?’ I have found this to be useful in reminding me of the multitude of ways that I can be helpful to others without hurting myself. when I take the time to ask this question, I find answers popping up all day long.

If one of our goals is to be of help to others, we will find the most appropriate ways to do things for others. Our chance to be of service is endless. Sometimes the best way that we could be of service is to maybe offer our home to a friend, even some ‘thoroughly screened’ strangers in need. Other time, it’s to give our seat to the elderly person on the train, help a youngster across the monkey bar, speak to a group of people , write a check to charity, or pick up litters on the road, the key, I believe, is to remember that being of service isn’t a one time efforts. it’s not doing something nice for someone and then wondering they aren’t being nice too, or doing this for us. Instead, a life of service is a lifelong process, a way of thinking about life. Ask yourself, does the trash need to be taking out? if so, go ahead and take it out even if it’s not your turn. Is someone you know being difficult? Maybe they need a hug or someone to listen to them. Are you  aware of any charity organization that needs more help, could you possibly give a little extra this month?

I learnt that the best way to be of service is often very simple, it’s those little, quite, often unnoticed act of kindness that we choose on a daily basis, like being supportive of a new endeavor by our spouse or simply taking the time and energy to listen.

I know that I have a long way to go towards my goal of becoming a more selfless person. However, I also know that as I have attempted to integrate services into my life , I have felt better, and better about the way I choose to live.

There is an ancient saying that goes thus,” Giving has  its own reward.” it’s really true, when you give, you also receive. In fact, what you receive might be totally different compared to what you give.   As you give more freely of yourself in your own ways, you will experience more feelings of peace than you ever thought possible. And at the end, everyone wins.

The Hunted life – 2

“… death Is the only celebrity everyone is dying to meet… “

Lukmon Idris (Kiteshikiari)

In the game of Life, everyone is just trying his or her best possible to survive.

Everyday, (more than) eight billion people walk around, without a care in the world. They do not know, what await them after their long rides home. When walking on the street, or when alone in the shower, and even while being asleep, we live every second, minute and hour everyday trying to cheat death, as if death was the only option for those who chose it. We refuse to contemplate and reflect on the INEVITABLE and the CERTAINTY OF DEATH.

The Offenders play Checkers. They live their lives day to day, jumping over one another, trying to reach the top of the ladder of success. while we are too busy chasing the materialism and catching up with an entertainment.

The reality of the situation is, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, death is always around the corner and it is a matter of divine decree. Death will creep upon you like the flu. Death is patiently awaiting you….. Death will see you soon!

Sorry people, as much as we all want to talk about exciting things like fashion shows, games and celebrate our favorite club, DEATH is also a part of life process that every human will go through. It’s just like the way everyone was born. So, be prepared for you never

All throughout our life, we follow rules and often fall in line, as we try to walk the straight edge of a razor all without falling off.

We are all consumers in our lives. We try to follow meaningless trend in slang, fashion, technology, gossip, and even food. For some people, it’s trying to keep up with the latest trends. It can break the largest bank, and even cause a Psychiatrist to re-analyze his life.

Remember, when you shop for groceries, or sales or deals, ask yourself, are you the hunter, or the prey (?)

Labels are everywhere. And they are on everything. They are hung over us; on our shoes, stitched to our clothings, and even fashionable enough, to be tattooed on our skin. But… why are they there?

When told to read behind, or in between them, you will find nothing. Nothing but emptiness. And if you let yourself be defined by stereotypical, or even racial label, then what are you?

We are all a creation of (One) God. We should not allow possession and labels define our humanity as a whole.

Kindly anticipate the part two of this topic. To be out soon! Till then…

Relaxing Through The Divine Senses.

Image may contain: sky, cloud, outdoor and nature

Some experiences promote feelings of wonder, gratitude, happiness, accomplishment and calmness. These kind of feelings simply cannot be identified with just one of the five senses. In fact, perhaps it is best said that these experiences cannot even be put into words. Many at times these special moments; these ‘mysteries’ happen when we  tap into all our bodies; I am referring to the deeper power  of the greatness of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell  which  are all part of the ‘Divine Gift senses’ that we use and feel everyday of our life.

Stress is often defined as a perceived disconnection from our divine sources. Although, we never are truly disconnected or separated from from God, but moments of chaos and catastrophies may make it seem as if we are. But for every stressful moment in which we mistakenly believe that we have been divinely abandoned, there are multitudes of moment that remind us that we are never alone. Psychologist Abraham Maslow called these  sensations Peak Experiences, where we know (if) only for some brief moments that we are truly with God. I actually prefer the term Holy Moments to the  powerful mystical experiences in which we use our Divine senses to know that however insignificant we may seem in the ever expanding universe, we are an essential part of it all.

How can the Divine Sense be best explained? As the amazing poet Maya Angelou says in her book, “Wouldn’t take nothing for my journey now. I believe that  God is one and we are all connected to God by the spirit of our soul, everywhere we are or go. The Spirit never leaves us, but something our ignorance makes us think God is not there, but for real if we look at our surroundings, we can see the signs of God in our present when we return to our senses.” The Divine Gifts of our senses are to connect and help us with the  recognition that we are always in the presence of GOD, however we conceive it to be.

In addition to realizing our five connections, these senses help us transcend the roadblock that stress puts in front of us. It is interesting to note that when I ask my students this question, What divine experience bring  peace? The answer seems to fall into two categories. Either being  completely alone with God, usually in Nature, or in the company of friends, with the underlying assumptions that the face of God can be found on every single human face.

Coming to a sense of calmness through the Divine senses is very personal undertaking; It is fair to say that no two of these experiences are alike. Reflect for a moment on what you would include to remind yourself  and to cultivate your own personal senses of the Divine in your everyday life.

The Healing Power of Love

“The emotion that can break your heart is sometimes the very one that heals it.”

Nicholas Sparks

Nothing else  brings hearts and souls together like LOVE. Love is truly the greatest healing force in the world. We need LOVE to survive, for without it, we won‘t be  able to live comfortably in this world.

LOVE is one thing that when we give, we get back in  folds. Ask any person what brings them the sense of calmness to the spirit, and undoubtedly you will hear the word LOVE. It is a universal language that we all can count on.

There are many shades or colors in the rainbow of  LOVE;  Faith, humor, optimism, humility courage, patience and gratitude.

The healing power of LOVE can also occur in moments.

imageSuch as a putting a call through a friend, or some other random act of kindness; a hug or handshake. All of these sum it up, because the healing power of LOVE begins with an open heart.

Try it today. Engage in a random act of kindness, then see what happens .. see how you feel inside. And show up in the comments section to share your testimony.

The Duality of The Human Mind

We have only one brain, but our brain possesses two distinctive characteristics. The line of demarcation between the two is well known to all thinking men and women today. The function of the brain is essential. Each is endowed with separate and unique attributes and powers. The general term used to distinguish the two functions of our brain is called the objective and subjective. Kindly note all of these!

The conscious and subconscious:

An excellent way to get acquainted with the function of our mind is to look upon our own brain as a garden.  We are all  Gardners and we are sowing seeds ( thoughts) in our subconscious mind all day long, based on our habitual thinking; we bury seeds in our subconscious mind.

Subconscious does not argue with you, it accepts and follows what the conscious mind decrees; so shall we reap in our body and environment.

Begin now to sow thoughts of peace, happiness, right action, goodwill and prosperity. Think quietly and with interest in these qualities, and accept them fully in your conscious, reasoning mind.  We have to continue to plant this wonderful seeds (thoughts) in the garden of our mind, and we will surely reap a glorious harvest.   Our subconscious may be likened to the soil, which will grow all kind of seeds, good or bad.  In every thought, there is a cause, and every condition surely has an effect. For this reason, it is essential that we take charge of our thoughts so as to bring forth the only desirable way to reach our destination.

When our mind thinks correctly, when we understand the truth, when the thoughts deposited in our subconscious mind are constructive,  harmonious and peaceful, the magic working power of our subconscious will respond and bring about the harmonious condition, agreeable surroundings and the best of everything. When we begin to control our ‘Thinking Process’, we can apply the power of our subconscious to solve any problem or difficulties we are being faced with (right now). Let us all try to choose a healthy, happy and abundant life.

God’s fingerprints on all of His creations.

“I find it incredibly amazing how at every sunset, the sky is a different shade. No cloud is ever in the same place. Each day is a new masterpiece. A new wonder. A new memory.”
Sanober Khan

When our life is filled with the desire to see the holiness in everyday things, something magical begins to happen.  A feeling of  peace emerges. We begin to see nurturing aspects of our day that everything has God’s fingerprints on it, that alone makes it special. If we remember this spiritual fact while we are dealing with a difficult person or struggling to pay our bills, it broadens our perspective. It helps us to remember that God also created YOU ( a person) with a purpose for  YOU to deal with challenges and despite your struggle to pay your bills, this types of challenges should always broaden our views and at that moment, we should reflect and realize how truly we are  blessed to have all that  ability to overcome and generate our daily needs.

It’s easy to see God’s beauty in a beautiful sunrise, a snow-capped mountain,  the smiling of a healthy child, or in the ocean waves crashing on sandy beach.  But can we learn to find the holiness in seemingly ugly circumstances- difficult life lessons, a family tragedy, or a struggle for life.  If only we have a strong faith and trust His divine plans ahead of us in the future.

Remember WE are living in a fathomless sea of infinite riches. Your subconsciousness is very sensitive to your thoughts. Our thoughts form the mold or matrix through which the infinite intelligence, which is a GOD’s gifts to all people, come with wisdom, vital forces,  and energies of how our subconscious flow works.  The practical application of laws of our mind’s  illustration in each of  life experiences, It is a GOD’s gift to every human being that can allow anyone of us to  turn poverty into abundance; superstition, and ignorance into wisdom; pain for peace; sadness for joy; darkness for light, discord for harmony; fear for confidence and faith;  failure for success. Certainly, we can all agree that our blessings have to do with how each person uses their mental, emotional, and material standpoint, then we can come to realize and understand that we all have GOD’s fingerprints in our human capabilities. All it takes is believe, commitment, and right action.

Humility and inner peace go hand in hand.  The less compelled you are to try to prove yourself to others, the easier it is to feel peaceful on the inside.

“There’s nothing more POWERFUL than  a humble person with a warrior spirit, driven by a bigger purpose.” – unknow Author

Wanting to always prove yourself is a dangerous trap of pride and ego. It takes an enormous amount of energy to be continually pointing out your accomplishments, bragging; these actually dilute the positive feeling you receive from a feat or something you are proud of. To make matters worse, the more you try to prove yourself, the more others will avoid you,  talk behind your back about your insecure need to brag, and perhaps even resent you.

Ironically, however, the less you care about seeking approval, the more approval you seem to get.  People are drawn to those with a quiet, inner confidence; people who don’t need to make themselves look good, or be right all the time, or steal the glory. Many people virtually love a person who doesn’t need to brag about his or her laurels, but a person who shares his or her heart and not his or her ego.

The way to develop genuine humility is to practice. It’s nice because you will get immediate inner feedback in the way of calm, easy feelings.

The next time you have an opportunity to be humble, endeavor to do it earnestly, and don’t brag about it. Instead, remember the following statement:

“A person can achieve anything by being simple and humble. ” – unknown.

Balance is the Key to Life by relaxing through the Sense of Sight.

By our nature, we rely most heavily on the sense of Sight. Some researchers estimates suggest that we take in 70 percent of our sensory information through the eyes, leaving the remaining 30 percent to the other four senses. If we only had the Sense of Vision to enjoy the world, we would never cease to be amazed at all the beauty we could find. Colours, patterns, shapes all lend themselves to the banquet of visual sensation of the feast for the eyes. Familiar images bring comfort. The new images bring exhilaration from the rapture the eyes provide.

Sometimes, we can become overwhelmed by all we take in through our eyes especially with the advent of computer screens. Too much of anything can lead to sensory overload. Balance is the essential key to our existence. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so they say, but calmness is in the heart, and from there, it begins to permeate every cell in the body. When beauty is combined with stillness, it is unbearable for inner peace. Perhaps, this is why ocean resorts and mountain canines are two most of the most popular destinations for vacation.

Mental imagery and guided visualization have long been known to create a sense of calmness and inner peace. They are also known for restoring a sense of wholeness which augments the healing process whether it be due to illnesses, grief from a significant loss or simply the stress of a hectic day. We have learned to give our eyes sight break and let it rest. But we need to explore more with our eyes with the love of nature.
