RAISE YOUR STANDARDS

Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards.  If you raise your standard but don’t really believe you can meet them, you ‘ve already sabotaged yourself, you won’t even try; you will be lacking that sense of certainty that allows you to reach the deepest capacity that within you.

Our beliefs are like the unquestioned command, telling us how things are, what is possible and what is impossible, what we can do and can not do. they shape every action, every thought and every feeling that we experience.  Changing our belief system is the central key to make any real and lasting change in our life. we must develop a sense of certainty that we can and will meet the new standards before we actually do it.

We need to take full control of our belief system when we raise our standard for a new change. it is the quality of our beliefs system which will lead us to our inner resources and enable us to meet the new challenges that we have committed ourselves. Behind any great success is the empowerment of a belief system.

Change your strategy:  In order to keep your commitment, you need an effective strategy to achieve your result. One of the cores of a belief system is that if you set a  higher standard, then you need to get yourself to believe it, then you can certainly figure out the best strategies that will work for your vision.  As long as you are on the mission, then simply find a way to make it.  Whatever you decide; You must take action. You can fine- tune to it, reshape and perhaps even make it better.

Become More Patient

The Quality of patience  goes way toward our goal of creating a more Peaceful and Loving ourselves. The more Patient we are, the more accepting we will be of what is, rather than insisting that life should be exactly as we would want it to be. Without, patience, Life is extremely Frustrating. We are easily annoyed, bothered and irritated. Patience adds a dimension of ease and Acceptance to one’s life. Patience is essential for one’s inner peace.

Becoming more Patience involves opening one’s Heart to the present moment, even if you don’t like it. If you  are stuck in a traffic jam, late for an appointment, opening to the moment would mean catching yourself building a mental snowball before your thinking got out of hand and gently reminding yourself to relax. It might also be a good time to breath as well as an opportunity to remind yourself that, in the bigger scheme of things being late is ” small stuff“.

Patience also involve seeing the innocence in others.

Anytime we feel irritated, we should hold ourselves back, try to eliminate any negative thoughts that may come rushing, and reminded once again of how fortunate we are to be Alive . I have found that, if you look deeply enough , you can also see Innocence in other people as well as in Potential Frustration Situation . when you do you will become a more more Patience and Peaceful Person, and in some strange way, you begin to enjoy many of the moments that used to Frustrate you.

Learn to Live in the Present Moment.

Do not dwell in the past. Do not dream of the future. Concentrate the mind on the present moment.

So many of us live our lives as if the secret purpose is to somehow get everything done in the future and not the present. Some people stay up late; some get up early; some even avoid having fun, and keep loved ones waiting to care and love at the present moment.

We should learn to live in the present moment to a large extent by understanding that our peace of mind is determined by how active and productive we make out of it.

It is very sad to see some people who put off their loved ones so long that their loved ones lose interest in maintaining the relationship. Sincerely, I used to be guilty of this myself. Irrespective of what happened yesterday or last year, or what may not happen even tomorrow; we tend to convince ourselves that our obsession with our “to do list” is only temporal; that once we get through that, we would be calm relaxed and happy, but in reality, this rarely happens.

Without a question, many of us have mastered the neurotic art of spending much of our lives worrying about a variety of all things. Listen up! This actually happens when we allow our past problems (issues) and future concerns dominate our Present Moments so much that we end up being anxious, frustrated, depressed and hopeless.

On the flip side, we also postpone our gratification, our priorities and happiness; often convincing ourselves that someday will be better than today. Unfortunately, the same mental dynamics that tell us to look toward the future will only repeat themselves, so that someday never arrives.

Hey! That someday is now, and it can be done by building positive habits in all the areas of your life.

Trust me, Life is what’s happening while we’re busy making other plans. While our children are growing, the people we love are moving away and dying; our bodies are getting out of shape; our dreams are slipping away; these are some few things that if we are not subconscious of, we would be missing out in life.

Many people live as if life is a dress rehearsal for some later date. Nope, It isn’t supposed to be ! In fact, no one is guaranteed that he or she will be here tomorrow. Now is the only time we have, and the only time we have any control over.

The global health crisis, CoviD-19 makes that life experience clear, especially for those that have been heavily affected, such as losing their loved ones to the pandemic.

When our attention is in the Present Moment, we push fear from our minds. Fear is the concern over events that might happen in the future– we wont have enough money; our children will get into trouble, we will get old and die; whatever be the case of life current situation, we need to leave a balance life, with preparations. And the only way we can do that is by feeding our faith with hope and starving our fear by taking actions to get things done in the current happenings.

WHY FEAR?

One of the major reasons so many of us remain horrid frightened, competitive, and continue to live life as if it were a giant emergency is because of our fear, which we often times, refuse to control. Thereby, caving in for it to control us.

Living in fear will not allow us to become more peaceful and loving toward our own self or others. Fear is an emotional feeling of its own, and it can stop us from achieving our already outlined goals. Remember! It’s also responsible for dragging one to being lazy and apathetic.

Fearful, frantic thinking take an enormous amount of energy and drains the creativity and motivation from our lives. When we become fearful or frantic, we literally Immobilize Ourselves from our greatest potentials, not to mention enjoyment. Please, be aware that any success that we do have is despite our fear, not because of it.

A powerful technique for becoming more peaceful is to be aware of how quickly your negative and insecure thinking can spiral out of control. Have you ever noticed how uptight you feel when your are caught up in your thinking? You will feel absorbed in the detail of whatever is upsetting you, right? Yes! That’s actually one of the worst you feel. One thought leads to another, until at some point, you become incredibly agitated.

For example, you might wake up in the middle of the night and remember a phone call that should be put through someone the following day. Then, rather than feeling relieved that you remembered such an important call, you start thinking about everything else you have to do that same tomorrow. You start rehearsing a probable conversation with someone in your head while the person is not there, that is a waste of your time, energy and creativity. why because, at that moment, the person is not there, but you are, so you can use that time to focus on yourself by reflecting, meditating, reading or visualizing about what you want in life and not what others want, or what you expect they want from you.

In order to get what you want, you need to build your self image and go out to service others, so don’t be agitated when serving others; it could be a family member or stranger; that is how you attract your own success and be a blessing for other people with your love and kindness.

The quarantine period has put many of us in a spot of fear, but we have to truly decide if we really want our fear to control our reality or we want to take control of our fear and decide what direction we want to move toward the unknown Future.

One of the things I learn from this current situation is that, if  you discipline your mind and time wisely with the right strategy, you will not be disappointed about your future lifestyle’s outcome.

Let’s learn to steer clear of our fears and focus more on greater things to come.

HOW TO MAKE PEACE WITH IMPERFECTION.

The need for perfection and the desire for inner tranquility is always an internal conflict of every human being. For this reason, I have never met, and will never meet an absolute Perfectionist, whose life is filled with a 100% inner peace. When we are used to having something in a certain way,we highly assume that it is, and it should be just that way; so when we see or experience something differently, then we suddenly are almost by definition, engage on losing the battle.

Rather than being grateful for, and contented with what we have, and we are focused on what is wrong, which implies that we are dissatisfied and discontent. Why? because when things do not happen the way we think and want, then definitely, it is not perfect and good enough for us.

Whether it is related to ourselves, a disorganized closet; a mess up living room full of kids toys, a scratch on car, an imperfect accomplishments of a project from work place, a few pounds we would like to lose, or someone else’s imperfections; the way someone looks or behaves or lives his or her life. The very act of focusing on imperfections pulls us away from our goal of being kind and gentle.

This Strategy has nothing to do with ceasing to do your best, but with being overly attached and focused on what is wrong with life. It’s about realizing that while there’s always a better way to do something, this doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy and appreciate the way things already are.

The solution here is to catch yourself when you fall into your habit on insisting that things should be perfect than they are. Gently Remind yourself that life is okay the way it is, right now.

In the absence of your Judgement, everything would be fine. Well in reality, we’re based on whatever we focus on at any moment in time. Whatever we focus on , that is what becomes most real to us.

As we begin to eliminate our need for perfection in all areas of our life, we will begin to discover the perfection in life itself within the affection of our inner peace.
